The forecast for Brisbane was for thundery rain in the evening, however we ended getting a storm which started in Moree at around 4am. It slowly headed towards Brisbane during the morning and somehow managed to make it all the way to us, reaching the Brisbane area around 3pm.

At Greenbank around 2:30pm and a gustfront was visible:

Apparently, the north end of the line was more severe so I attempted to get closer to Ipswich. I stopped in Boronia Heights for more pics:

Considering how close the storm was Ipswich I planned to head back up the Mt Lindsay Hwy to Archefield to re-assess. As I approached the Ipswich turnoff I quickly decided to take it to try and get closer:

I then ended up underneath it, and due to traffic, couldn't get back in front of it.

Two more lines of storms were to follow, giving off occassional lightning and plenty of rain but nothing worth chasing.
